Research

Hochschule Ruhr West – University of Applied Sciences is organised as a matrix structure instead of into university departments. This enables the degree programmes and research projects to be organised much more flexibly. The professors of the different institutes work together in an interdisciplinary manner.

Currently, interesting research and development projects are being conducted by the Institute for Measurement and Sensor Technology, particularly in the field of medical technology, as well as by the Institute for Computer Science. At present, the Institute for Energy Systems and Industry is conducting seven research projects dealing with the broad topic of energy and its resource-conserving use.
