International Office and Degree programmes at HRW

Hochschule Ruhr West – University of Applied Sciences is an advanced university of applied sciences with a focus on the engineering sciences. Currently, students can apply for eleven degree programmes. The university is still in development – new practice-oriented degree programmes are being added every year.

Our students are taught theory not only in HRW’s lecture halls and seminar rooms, but also in the real world: excursions and corporate visits give students and professors insights into the practical implementation of knowledge obtained in lectures, seminars and exercises.

It is an absolute must for students to broaden their horizons. In other words, HRW encourages them to spend time away from the city that is so familiar to them. Opportunities here include study abroad at a partner university or an internship abroad. The International Office assists students, both in sifting through the options and organising their trip. And what is true for our HRW students is just as important for foreign students. After all, they are also studying abroad temporarily – in this case, in Germany. HRW’s International Office not only supports incoming students in selecting their lectures and seminars, but also in searching for accommodation.
