Mülheim an der Ruhr, Bottrop, 6. April 2017: Ruhr West University of Applied Sciences (HRW), along with seven partners and their proposal “Emscher-Lippe4: Experiencing digitalization in the learning and demonstration lab for innovation, integration, transfer and education”, was selected for funding as part of the “UMBAU 21 – Smart Region” project. The funds will be used to implement major innovation and new business models in the Emscher-Lippe region by using digitalization technologies. The Emscher-Lippe4 proposal uses the expansion of a high-tech learning and demonstration lab, combined with a mobile FabLab (an open high-tech workshop), to enable participants to experience digital key skills.
The grant amounts to approximately €3 million in total for all partners, of which about 1.6 million will go to Ruhr West.
