After the Ruhr West University of Applied Sciences became the target of a cyber attack, the systems were temporarily and completely disconnected from the network. So far, the analyses have shown no signs of data loss or data encryption. The internal and external IT experts are working at full speed to restore the systems.
Technical services such as Moodle, eCampus and email are gradually being reactivated. As work on the digital infrastructure of the university is ongoing, there may still be occasional disruptions. If a service is temporarily unavailable, please wait and try again at a later time. Longer-term outages will be communicated centrally.

As announced, for all students and employees who were unable to participate in the password reset promotion in Week 7, there will be an additional reset offer from February 28 through April 14, inclusive.
Please be prepared: The new password must be at least 12 characters and contain lowercase and uppercase letters, numbers, and special characters.
Password reset for students: The password reset for students takes place in the library | Campus Mülheim, 3rd floor, from Monday to Friday from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m..
At the same time, students have the opportunity to obtain the NRW-Ticket - during the opening hours of the Service Management in the Student Service Centre Mülheim!
Please note that you will have to identify yourself uniquely in order to receive your new password. It is therefore essential that you bring the following with you:
Photo ID (identity card, passport)
university identification (user name)
matriculation number
proof of payment of semester fee (required for NRW-Ticket)
Without this data, it is NOT possible to reissue the password.
Students who cannot come to campus in person (e.g. because of a semester abroad), please contact hrw-servicemanagement@mailbox.org for individual solutions, stating the reason.
Password reset for employees:
Monday through Friday from 09:00 to 14:00 hrs.
