Acting economically and sustainably

Growing globalization is challenging manufacturing companies to secure their international competitiveness in the long term. They must react to changing conditions, optimize their production processes and constantly adapt to customer requirements. This reliable realization of increasing production targets requires effective production management.

What you can expect

The Master's degree program in Technical Production Management at HRW trains generalists and, above all, good technologists to manufacture products for the markets of the future economically and sustainably. The Master's degree program combines content from mechanical engineering and industrial production technology with business management aspects. Knowledge of production planning and project management, international production organization and sales is taught.

Your study content

The Master's degree course is designed as a full-time course of study lasting three semesters. The compulsory modules deal with machine tools, business fundamentals in production management, factory organization, project/process management and supply chain and lean manufacturing. An interface module is anchored in the compulsory module IT Systems, which deals with topics such as cloud computing.

The degree program provides for six standard compulsory modules and three elective modules (one in the first and two in the second semester). The choice of certain modules can result in a subject area, e.g. business administration/organization or technology.

This is followed by a research paper and a Master's thesis with colloquium.
