Clean energy solutions have created new environmental problems. For example: How can we recycle old wind turbines? What do we do with the fermentation residue from the growing number of biogas plants? How do we install decentralised energy systems without harming nature or society? Environmental aspects and climate protection are key things to consider when implementing modern energy technologies. Energy and environmental engineers work to find technical solutions for environmental problems.
Study at our brand new Energy Campus Lab
As an undergraduate student in Energy and Environmental Engineering at Ruhr West, you begin by taking basic courses in mathematics, science and engineering. Afterwards, you learn about the following engineering topics: renewable energy systems, energy efficiency, electrical engineering, process engineering, waste management, and water and air protection. You will study these issues in the state-of-the-art laboratories and lecture halls at our brand new Energy Campus Lab in Bottrop! Moreover, project work and work placements give this programme a strong emphasis on practice.
