The four-year undergraduate programme provides students with a solid foundation in the most important fields of business administration, including management accounting, corporate taxation, statistics and marketing. Students gain an understanding of the complexity of markets and are prepared for the specific challenges of the global finance sector. To that end, a major emphasis is on improving Business English skills: aside from specialised language training over the course of three semesters, course contents in the marketing, business skills and computer business science modules are also mostly in English. In the sixth and seventh semesters, student can choose elective modules such as crisis management, international management or annual financial analysis. Another important module is the one on business ethics.
Combining self-directed study with classroom learning
To accommodate the needs of working students, the programme is taught in a blended format: Most of the time is spent studying independently at home with the help of printed study materials and e-learning components. Face-to-face lectures are held on Saturdays; during practical exercises, students work in teams and project groups. In combination, this makes for a high-quality, real-world learning experience. Graduates of this programme are qualified for careers as controllers, financial analysts and corporate consultants, as well as lower- and mid-level managers. They find work in a wide range of industries, including international non-profit organisations, associations, medium-sized enterprises, banks, insurance companies, financial services or the manufacturing industry.
