Many German companies operate on international markets; conversely, Germany is an important market for many international companies. How can international markets be analysed from different marketing perspectives? Which international marketing strategies can be derived from that analysis? How can companies build internationalisation strategies? And how can market research methods be applied? If you’re interested in these kinds of questions, this part-time master’s degree in international marketing management is the right choice for you! The programme has been designed for working professionals, but you don’t have to be employed to enrol. Most of the coursework takes place online; face-to-face sessions (30 hours total) are held on Friday afternoons and Saturdays on Ruhr West’s Mülheim campus.
Students in this degree course deepen their general knowledge of business administration (e.g. HR management, strategic management, project and process management) and explore special topics in international marketing management in modules such as international marketing strategy, customer behaviour with intercultural aspects, international market research, and international customer relationship management. The programme is taught in German, but some of the course materials, two modules, and final module exams are in English. Graduates of this programme are qualified for both operative and strategic tasks. Enjoying excellent job prospects in nearly all sectors, they may be hired by large international corporations, small and medium-sized enterprises, industrial, consumer goods, service, market research and consulting companies or marketing agencies.
